*Photojournalism Ethics*

• I think a photojournalists ethics should be absolute because if it was situational there would be no rules and the photographers would be able to do w/e they wanted to with the pictures, and not everything can be situational.
• Yes, i think a photo can capture truth because if it's captured correctly and properly it can show the proof and truth of the moment.
• As a photographer i've had to crop, adjust levels, fix color, and sharpen the image that "edits" reality.
• It's important that news organizations have clearly defined ethical standards, because it helps remind photographers about whats acceptable and whats not.
  
  

Fashion Ethics!!

Things digitally changed:

• eyebrows
• lips
• neck
• sides on face (cheeks)
• shoulders
• ears

I personally don't think it's ethically ok to change someones appearance like that, because it's not only going to affect the person emotionally, but it's false to the audience and is absolutely wrong. Yet, it's worse because it's making young adults believe that someone can look that great when in reality it's false. The only types of changes that might be ok is the clearing, sharpening, levels, and fixing color. Nevertheless some that aren't ok would be erasing significant objects, cropping w/no limits, and making the image false.

I think that differences in fashion photography and photojournalism is that, fashion photography lies alot more than photojournalism and is used differently. In the other hand, photojournalism is expected to tell the truth about some type of story, and is used in absolute ethics.

During the summer Sarah strikes through Australia! While she drove through some lonely roads, she saw a Kangaroo for the very first time. Sarah, being a photographer wanted a to get even closer. She is now at the hospital recovering her minor injuries.

One Wednesday morning, a mommy duck stops traffic on I-35 in Austin TX, as it escorts its ducklings to Lake Austin while an unidentified motorist helps block traffic.

Three five year olds Ashley, Kelsey, and sandy, holler "I want my mommy" as they fly through the ripples of Lake Travis during Labor Day. Next time most indubitably, they wont forget tosecure eachother to wear setbelts.

Friday, October 26, 2007Doe-EyedLisa Simpson appears on television screens on a new Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 after its inaugural passenger flight from Singapore to Sydney, Australia. This photo has the technique of repetition, making the image more catchy towards the viewers eye. Also since it has leading lines of repetition, it makes it more interesting.

*Sugar Hill*

A. Some of the skills Melanie Burford utilize to produce this slide show, was that she used real moments with vivid emotions, also she added music, and speakers in the background that relate to the photos.
B. The effect of the multimedia added power or meaning to the slide show, which caused the slides show to be more effective to the audience, because the vocalist sang through out the whole slide show.

3. The most interesting multimedia that i feel interesting would be their troubled history, because it talks about how Sugar Hill first started, and how troubled they still are. However, i feel that the most shocking media was the police videos because of how they disrespect & abuse eachother.

*Photojournalism Assignment*

1.Some of the challenges I had while trying to get close, capture real moments, and capture action or emotion was only that I had to be prepared for anything and get ready for the photo as fast as possible. I dealt with them by just being ready and thinking ahead, of what might happen so that i will be in the correct position.

2.The technical aspects of photography that i found thinking about the most were focus, composition, exposure, and some of the rules. I made sure I did these correctly by reminding myself what they were right before the picture was taken or a few min. before.

3. I tried to use at least one of the advanced composition techniques by reminding myself what they were. For example lines, i took a photo of someone walking up the stairs because it showed repetitive lines to draw viewers' attention to the center of interest.
